Busua Beach Resort Description:
The Busua Beach Resort which is nature lover’s dream come true is situated on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean in the Western Region of Ghana. This beach resort is halfway between Abidjan which is the capital city of Cote d’Ivoire and Accra which is the capital city of Ghana. The Busua Beach Resort is situated 45km west of the port city of Takoradi in Ghana’s Western Region. The beach resort is 5 hours drive from Accra city. The Busua Beach Resort is in the middle of this region’s attractions which are both manmade and natural.
There five categories of rooms in this beach resort are suites, Ocean view double, Ocean view single, Beach front twin and budget accommodation. All these rooms are fitted with a fan or AC. The hotel’s standard rooms and suites are air conditioned and they each have a private bath and television set. There are also two satellite dishes which allow the hotel guests to watch up to 10 channels. The hotel rooms which are only a few feet from the sea each have a stand by generator to provide the guests with a constant power supply incase of an electricity interruption.
The Busua Beach Resort has 26 double rooms of which 22 are twin rooms and 2 others are suites in a chalet style. All the rooms and chalet suites in the Busua Beach Resort have either a private or shaked kitchenette. The hotel rooms also have direct dial phones. Any other services that the guests might require are available at the reception. An older wing of the Busua Beach Resort which was recently renovated has affordable rooms which are suitable for families. The Busua Beach Resort has two gift shops which cater for the guests to the hotel.
Amenities & Services
Guests to the Busua Beach Resort have a number of activities from which they can choose from. One can either sail on a catamaran or even take a board and hit the surf. On days when the surf is rough, guests can simply relax in the hotel’s swimming pool or even explore the resorts vast beach and enjoy the art of collecting exotic seashells. The hotel’s watercrafts are strong enough to pull a water skier.
Guests can also take a trip to “Abokwa” which is the hotel’s Private Island. You are also free to stroll the hotel’s miles of well-preserved coast or just sunbath on the beach. Other activities open to the hotel guests include horseback ridding on the beach, tennis and fishing. There is a small playground where children on their part can have fun with their nannies. The Busua Beach Resort plans to have a nine hole golf course for the sake of golf lovers.
The Busua Beach Resort has its own, restaurant, dinning, kitchenettes and a fridge in each of its chalets for the convenience of its guests. Seafood is a specialty of the Beach Resort which is prepared by a professional chef who is a master with European dishes. The Busua Beach Resort is considered the home of the popular King Lobster which is a rare delicacy. The hotel has made a special arrangement with local fishermen for a constant supply of fish. However, the Beach Resort owns a vegetable garden where they get a fresh supply of fresh ingredients with which to prepare their other dishes. Upon request the hotel can also prepare local Ghanaian cuisine with an international touch for willing guests.
Activities & Facilities
The hotel’s Business and Conference facilities can host up to 250 people. The Busua Beach Resort can also accommodate banquets with over 250 people at the outdoor terrace area. However, there are smaller rooms that can host meetings of between 10 to 40 people. The Busua Beach Resort’s meeting rooms are adequately equipped with audio visual systems, microphones, slide and overhead projectors. Also available but on request are VCR’s Vu-graphs, flip-charts and lecterns.
